iTero

iTero Digital Scans

The iTero scanner is designed to replace the older and slower methods for creating models of your smile. With iTero, the impression part of the treatment planning process is now more accurate and more comfortable than ever. At Greeley & Nista Orthodontics, you can say goodbye to messy molds!

iTero uses a handheld wand to scan and create 3D images of your teeth and jaw in just a few minutes. These images of your current smile are then used to create a customized treatment plan and guide your alignment goals throughout treatment to help you achieve your perfect smile. Additionally, we can use the 3D images generated from these scans to create a model of what your projected smile will look like once treatment is complete. The iTero scanner helps our team optimize your treatment and create clear aligners that fit perfectly.

In-House Retainers

In-House Retainers

Not only can we use the iTero Scanner to project your desired results, but our 3D printing technology allows us to print your aligner-style retainers here in the office, directly from the iTero model.

Our team transmits the digital impression of your smile into our 3D planning software, which we use to create custom retainers designed to help keep your smile in place after treatment. In addition, the planning software gives us full control, incredible accuracy, and extremely clear retainers.

3D Cat Scan

3D Cat Scans

These scans provide our team with a 3D scan using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). It differs significantly from a medical CT scan because it gathers volume data with one pass rather than multiple layers of radiation. This means the radiation for a scan is significantly lower than that of a medical CT scan. Our 3D Cat Scans provide data for:

  • Orthodontic evaluation and treatment planning
  • TMJ treatment
  • Airway assessments and sleep apnea
  • Full facial and jaw 3D images

This technology has many benefits, one of the most important being the high level of detail we’re given. The more insight we have into the state of your oral health and the layout of your smile, the more informed treatment decisions we’ll make. You need a treatment plan that is perfectly tailored to your orthodontic needs, and this technology allows us to see more than we ever have before.
